Kuniko’s sculptural practice has a particular focus on sustainability, using biodegradable materials like paper and leather, combined with a laser cutter and hand technique to create organic, delicate structures. Suspended in a shadow box frame, with subtle watercolours these almost iridescent, biomorphic sculptures evoke natural forms; serpents, feathers and fjords.
While the piece is flexible and can move, it must be handle with care. The top part is the strongest, as it is connected with wire. Please ensure that when moving the work, only the top piece is moved or lifted. The rest of the piece is highly delicate.
