Unframed A2 Poster, featuring an image of Hamed Maiye's print 'Emotional Anthropology'
Hamed Maiye is an interdisciplinary artist based in London who explores cultural anthropology through mythology, myth making and archiving. Utilising a monochrome black and white colour palette, Hamed’s multilayered piece is ‘loosely based on objects with contentious histories… which have been lost, displaced or stolen’. The work have both strong cultural and personal significance. The idea of hazy memories and dreams is a recurrent theme in Hamed’s pieces, evoked through the traces of light beams and movement he applies on top of his photographs.
