In this cityscape series simply titled with its location, Evie depicts the local area of her home county, Derbyshire, with a Hopper-esque detachment and objectivity. These paintings reflect a departure from Evie’s main body of work that focuses on both escapism and examining privilege and excess, particularly as seen through social media.
