Aftermath is both a trace and an archive of a living seed drawing. For this work, the artist sows seeds in meticulously arranged botanical patterns. As the seeds germinate and grow, their roots diverge from the original design, following unpredictable paths to create new, organic forms. This living process reflects the tension between the human desire for control and the inherent agency of ecological processes, challenging our tendency to tame, aestheticise and commodify the natural world.
