Fallen Flora Collection:
Jet McQuiston’s Fallen Flora rings celebrate 70 iconic vanished plants and flowers, each from a different section of the world with their own significant historical narratives. The jewels reference the climate crisis echoing a social preoccupation of the time, therefore embodying contemporary mourning jewellery. Hidden amongst the floral motifs are the minute numbers '2, 3, 5 and 9’, representing ‘one minute to midnight’- a metaphor for the sixth mass extinction.
