Fredrik Tjærandsen (b. 1995) is an artist whose work explores the edges of experience, sensation, and the complex relationship between body and space. Working with installation, sculpture and performance, Tjærandsen is a multidisciplinary artist who merges elements of art and philosophy to create immersive experiences. His work is anchored in themes of attention and judgment, the body’s presence as an object, and our experience

of it as both an internal and external phenomenon. Through his art, he investigates the spatiality and motility of the human body—how we occupy and move through space, and how our bodies serve as both a medium for perception and expression.

Tjærandsen’s work brings an introspective curiosity toward sensory experience, asking questions about what we perceive and the mysteries each sense holds. He is fascinated with the boundaries of understanding and inspired by the sensory information that eludes intellectual grasp, tapping into the depths of experience that remain inaccessible to rational thought.
