Frances Pinnock

Working with materials such as leather, vellum, and horsehair, Frances Pinnock creates compositional and surrealistic works across sculpture, painting, and drawing. Layering fragments of psychology, personal narrative, and the body, she employs technical processes of pattern cutting and hand stitching alongside gestural mark- making and playful metal fabrication.
Pinnock (b. 1990, Bristol, UK) lives and works in London. She studied BA (Hons) Modelmaking at Arts University Bournemouth (2014) and MA Sculpture at the Royal College of Art (2023). Recent exhibitions include This Country, Crafts Council Gallery, London (2024); TEFAF Maastricht, NL (2024); Cut & Fold, Make Hauser & Wirth, Somerset, UK She has been shortlisted for the Ingram Prize 2024 and will present a solo exhibition with Sarah Myerscough Gallery, London, in 2025.
