Frances Pinnock

Working with leather, vellum, horsehair, metal, and found objects, Frances Pinnock creates compositional and surrealistic works across mediums. Loosely diaristic, they take the form of abstract vignettes, becoming sites for reflection and revisitation. She employs technical processes of pattern cutting and hand stitching alongside playful metal fabrication and gestural mark making.
Frances Pinnock (b. 1990, Bristol, UK) lives and works in London. She received her BA in Modelmaking from Arts University Bournemouth (2014) and her MA in Sculpture from the Royal College of Art, London (2023). In 2024 she was awarded the Ingram Prize for her work 'Light Sleeper', 2024.
