Emily Frances-Barrett is an artist and jeweller who celebrates the beauty of decay, elevating natural and found objects through her practice. In recent works she has used laborious techniques to preserve hand-pressed flowers and cigarette butts in several layers of resin, transforming these into jewellery. Silver bottle caps, ring pulls and seashells become precious trinkets adorned with handmade silver fittings. Her unusual luxuries question our approach to beauty. Emily showed in Hong Kong as part of the Sarabande x JOYCE pop up, and has previously worked with the Chapman brothers.
