This role involves close collaboration with the CEO and external advisors and is integral to the foundation's mission.
This position combines operational management with active involvement in our artist community and creative initiatives at both our N1 and N17 locations. The role also entails building and maintaining relationships with local stakeholders and partners. This includes working with the CEO and architects on the development of new facilities, liaising with landlords and developers, overseeing office and studio planning, and annually marketing the studios to a fresh cohort of creatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Office and Studio Management:
- Manage and negotiate contracts with suppliers and contractors.
- Ensure a clean, presentable environment for the office, studio complex, and event space at all times.
- Oversee the management of the Sarabande CRM database, maintaining and updating contacts for all stakeholders, artists, and patrons.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of a small but busy office, leading a team that includes both salaried staff and interns.
Development:
- Research and coordinate professional tours of the studios.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with potential supporters and stakeholders.
- Manage relationships with existing N17 partners, advocating for Sarabande to ensure that its values, criteria, and ethos are upheld.
- Provide support to artists during commercial projects.
Artist Liaison:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all Tottenham alumni.
- Provide support for exhibitions or development work as needed.
- Manage inter-artist studio relationships when required.
Events Production:
- Assist the Sarabande team in managing event production, both onsite and offsite.
- Prepare reports on major activities and projects.
- Contribute to the talks programme.
- Share project management responsibilities for fundraising events and other revenue streams, including advertising and merchandise sales.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess a blend of entrepreneurial spirit and creative thinking, along with exceptional organisational skills and the ability to balance short- and long-term objectives. Strong people management and communication skills are essential, as is a resilient, can-do attitude. This senior role within a forward-thinking and dynamic organisation requires an individual capable of engaging with top-level partners globally and ensuring the exceptional delivery of all projects, partnerships, and events.
This position is well-suited to someone with experience in a creatively led business. Please note that some evening and weekend work may be required, particularly during events.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
