Mab George Sanders and Joshua Beaty present 'Seeberious'
Mab George Sanders and Joshua Beaty present 'Seeberious’ show at Filet Gallery, a satire performance in collaboration with Artist Luce Russell and inspired by the works of Fanny Cradock, an English restaurant critic, television chef and writer.
For the performance Mab and Joshua started a culinary lip synced tutorial, referencing the renowned British television personality Fanny Cradock, who was active in the 1950s and 1960s, on the BBC's culinary television program.
For those who don't know about the two Sarabande artists; Mab George Sanders is an installation and performance artist who's illustration style runs through makeup, fashion, performance and film to generate immersive environments with families of characters. The main themes in Sander's work are struggle, humour and confusion, playing out as folkloric fairy tales tied to the ancient natural landscape she draws inspiration from. Joshua Beaty is an artist, designer and educator. His work is an exploration of the unresolved potentials of Fashion and Art. He sees humour in phalluses, joke shop poo, tits, old tights and icky bits of hair that find their way into much of his work.
