INSPIRED: MILES ALDRIDGE
INSPIRED: Miles Aldridge
10 MAY
19:00 - 21:00
Doors open at 19:00 for refreshments and talk starts at 19:30 on the dot!
Deep dive into the imagination of Miles Aldridges’ and his vibrantly coloured scenes of subtle discord beneath the veneer of domestic bliss.
Join us as we speak to Miles himself about the reoccurring themes in his work - the Home, and the influence of Art History and of Cinema.
Working across disciplines, Miles has collaborated with several contemporary artists including Maurizio Catalan, Gilbert and George, and Harland Miller. With so many twists and turns, guiding the conversation will be his gallerist Lyndsey Ingram. During his prolific career that has already spanned more than 25 years, Miles has built a successful career turning reality into beautifully imagined and rigorously composed pictures that are narrative rich snapshots of everyday life.
Peak behind the pristine plastic tarpaulin of Miles’ work and hear him speak on the twists and turns of image-making.
