Rebecca McBallantine

Loughborough University

BA Textiles

Always keen to experiment, Rebecca often begins her development process by drawing with her eyes closed or by holding the pen in her mouth or feet in order to create new and unpredictable lines and markings. With a particular interest in surface, Rebecca is drawn to rust, moss, lichen, stone and wood, amongst others, which she then uses as inspiration for drawings, prints and sculptures. Rebecca describes herself as an open-minded artist, and she was chosen for the scholarship by stylist Katy England.
