Jennifer Jones (b. 1999) is a multi-disciplinary visual artist. Central to Jones’ practice are textiles objects such as rugs and tapestries conceived to exist within the home as well as a gallery context. However, her work spans an array of media including painting, drawing, writing and photography. Many of these works begin by manipulating personal photos that range across family members and time. Involving a process of redaction, altering scale, re- composition, collaging and finally recreating in different media, Jones conjures imagined scenarios and characters which are simultaneously real and invented.

The work invites audiences to question nostalgia within their own private lives and to contemplate secrecy, and the resulting tensions, in what’s kept private within the home.

Jones graduated BA Fine Art at Central Saint
Martins in 2022, she was awarded Bloomberg New Contemporaries and the New Futures Graduate Art Prize, as well as a residency on the Associate Studio Programme with Acme and UAL. Jones has participated in various group shows across the UK and international venues including South London Gallery, Camden Arts Centre, Maakhaven (the Netherlands), Koppel Project Space and Grundy Art Gallery.
