INSPIRED: Dame Rachel Whiteread in conversation with Tim Marlow OBE

A pioneering artist of her generation, the first woman to win the Turner Prize and a Dame no less, there is no question: Rachel Whiteread is a true master of her craft.

Using industrial materials such as plaster, concrete, resin, rubber and metal to cast everyday objects and architectural space, Rachel's sculptural works are instantly recognisable as evocative interrogations of negative space, from the domestic to the monumental. Hot water bottles, baths and even houses have all been turned inside-out at Rachel's hand.

In conversation with the Director of Design Museum, Tim Marlow OBE, join us to get inside the twists and turns of Rachel's creative career to date – from form to concept, and everything in between.
