Arthur favours an ‘intuition over conscious thought’ approach to his art making. This photograph of a light-dappled horse’s body is contextualised by Arthur’s main body of abstract works. Like Monet’s haystacks, which were considered a prototype for abstraction, reality can feel abstract when isolated in this way.

A taxidermy micro prawn housed in a sealed, hand-made glass box. Each is individually coloured by hand so please allow for a small variation between pieces. Zero food waste: All meat from every taxidermy prawn has been consumed. Harriet is a self-taught taxidermist, using dyes and lighting to deliver a playful narrative in a medium that can sometimes hold a macabre association. The juxtaposition of organic material with neon lighting has become Harriet’s signature.

Martina is a fashion designer whose brand focuses on ethical textile production. Her characteristic woven technique has visually pleasing repeated geometry. Martina only uses Italian leather from byproducts traceable to a single farm which champions animal welfare, water usage and people, along with a non-toxic dying process.

Kuniko’s sculptural practice has a particular focus on sustainability, using biodegradable materials like paper and leather, combined with a laser cutter and hand technique to create organic, delicate structures.

This work is typical of George’s practice, who subverts iconic objects borrowed from British culture. These solid brass cast snooker chalks were collected from Cousins Snooker Club in London, George’s ‘home from home’, and tell a story of temporality and human touch. Their names pay homage to locals of Cousin’s who have passed in recent year, each engraved with George’s signature and their own box lined with tournament grade snooker felt. Each chalk is only cast eight times.

Anemoia is a part of an ongoing photographic portraits of flowers. They explore the feeling of nostalgia for a time or place one has never experienced. Each C-Type print originates from a scanned unique chromogenic photograph created with a large format Gandolfi Camera.

Predominantly using the wet plate collodion technique, Kasia’s analogue photographs explore the truth and tangibility of objects.

Sugar, Lead and Food Colouring

Sophie makes expressive and stylised sugar sculptures. With fixed open mouths, candy colours and sickly sweet material, these figures evoke both gluttony and the uncanny.

Care instructions:

This piece is made from sugar and therefore sensitive to its environment and any reactions taking place aligns with the intentions of the work. To maximise its lifetime, avoid sources of heat and humid environments. This artwork contains lead and so should not be eaten despite its sugar content. Always wash hands after handling this work and gloves are recommended. It should not be handled by children.
