WORKSHOP: How To Stretch a Canvas with Stephen Akpo
Join artist Stephen Akpo for a hands-on workshop exploring the essential techniques of canvas stretching and priming, giving you the skills and confidence to create your own custom-stretched canvases.
Through a combination of demonstrations and practical experience, Stephen will guide you through each stage of the process, from assembling a stretcher frame to stretching, securing and priming your canvas. You'll have the opportunity to put these techniques into practice yourself, with expert guidance throughout.
By the end of the session, you'll leave with a canvas you've stretched yourself and the knowledge to apply these skills to future creative projects.
All materials will be provided, but you're welcome to bring along any specific tools or ideas you'd like to experiment with.
