Sarabande welcomed Hande Sadic and Todd Lynn in which they discussed ‘the critical path’ and product development, as well as how to strategise both sourcing and manufacturing of garments within a global production and vendor landscape. They touched on product development, highlighting the importance of timing and planning and how the current supply/demand chain works in fashion. Hande Sadic is a Global Sourcing & Production Development professional with 16 years of industry experience. Sadic is also the founder of hand[mad]e, a London-based company that offers strategic supply chain consultancy including product development, production and sourcing services and she knows the ins and outs of all the core aspects of fashion business. Sadic was in conversation with Canadian fashion designer Todd Lynn, who lives and works in London. A graduate of Central Saint Martins, Lynn is known for his tailoring and androgynous silhouettes with fans such as Mick Jagger and Marilyn Manson.

Part II of 'The Critical Path in Fashion' was a practical talk from Joshua Wertheimer, Director of Production & Operations at Thom Browne. He unravelled the complexities of the logistics process for a fashion brand. This had covered customs, taxes and information on a global scale, especially relevant for designers who are in the process of experiencing this necessary part of the critical path within a fashion brand.
