'Art Direction' is an ambiguous phrase. It's difficult to navigate the worlds of fashion, music, print and video without coming across it - but what exactly is an art director? What does an art director do?
Worry not - we've invited leading design studio OK-RM to Sarabande to debunk the umbrella term and deep dive into the intricacies of concept ideation and visual identity across art, fashion, culture and commerce. They'll touch on the importance of collaboration and research as well as discuss some of their forward-thinking work with cultural giants like Virgil Abloh, Juergen Teller, Real Review and JW Anderson.
Joined by writer and editor Sara McAlpine, this talk will demystify the world of art direction and leave you all with some much-needed industry, expert knowledge.
