Cha'ky Donnelly Solo Show: BLACCCATHARTIC
Private View

Exhibition
20th-22nd November, 11.00 - 18.00
In his new show BLACCCATHARTIC, artist Cha'ky Donnelly presents a suite of large-scale abstract paintings and spatial works where environmental collapse becomes a metaphor for renewal. Inviting viewers into the surreal intersection of aesthetics and politics, the exhibition draws upon the apocalyptic sublime and expressive fragmentation to map unseen pressures.
The exhibition treats atmosphere not as a passive backdrop but as a living force, framing storms, erosion, and pressure shifts as vessels of lived memory and collective tension. External conditions mirror internal states, revealing the unseen emotional and systemic pressures that shape individual experience.
Through dense accumulation, visceral gesture, and deliberate erasure, Cha'ky turns the painted surface into a physical record of resistance. Destruction is not framed as a terminal end, but as a vital rupture: a necessary clearing of ground where destruction breeds creation, breaking down repressive structures to make space for catharsis, clarity, and reconstruction.
