"You can breathe...just don't move!" - Catch up with Kasia Wozniak

Kasia Wozniak is a photographer whose practice revolves around themes of memory and time, using the wet plate collodion technique, she delves into the tangible nature of photographs and challenges contemporary perspectives on viewing them.

Bouncing from Stephen Jones' studio, then off to Paris for 10 Magazine, and then to Athens for Vogue, Kasia has had her fair share of editorials to kick off Q1 of 2024.

We caught up with the photographer at her High Road studio to discuss the recent shoots and hear what made them so special:

In one of our features with Kasia last year Kasia discussed her exploration of the traditional technique within todays fashion landscape, "Can Fashion take it?", Kasia said after shooting the iconic Shaun Lean piece from the Voss collection:

Last month Kasia released new work in our exhibition for International Women's Day, Earth Monsters, presenting a new series titled 'Cosmic Egg'.

“An egg being something infinite. There is no beginning, there is no end”

The series featured plates that explored the alchemy and mysticism surrounding the egg, an enduring symbol of creation across diverse cultures. Borrowing from the philosophy of non-duality, Wozniak’s photographs reference the cyclical nature of birth, death, and rebirth.
