Tom Hallimond

Tom Hallimond is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores care and lived experience.

His work reflects on the quiet resilience and human effort required to adapt during times of upheaval, particularly the isolation and uncertainty experienced during the global shutdown of 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hallimond investigates the tension between continuity and change, examining the hidden labour of care and the emotional weight carried by both carers and those they support. His work considers how we navigate an altered world, where connection is simultaneously obscured and essential, and where the everyday gestures of care become acts of quiet resistance.
