Taryn O'Reilly

Taryn O’Reilly is a multidisciplinary sculpture artist. Her research is centred around the personification of death within art history and how this has structured the tropes of women & queerness in modern day media. Her practice takes cues from the horror genre, Dutch still lifes, and vintage advertisements to explore these conceptions of queerness, sexuality, and femininity. Her work embodies dark humour, the macabre and camp culture.

Taryn has consistently exhibited across the U.K. and the U.S since moving to London in 2018. This includes group exhibitions put on by Deptford X, Saatchi Gallery, The Factory Project, Bad Art Presents and most recently she was selected as a finalist for The Ingram Art Prize. Taryn has been a speaker on multiple panel talks including the Chelsea School of Art and The Final Girls Film Festival.
