Jingyi Li

Jingyi Li is a artist whose work interlaces feminist narratives, material culture, and soft forms. Lace-making is central to her practice, transforming traditional forms into sculptural and domestic objects to examine female desire, submission, and BDSM dynamics.
Using auto-ethnographic approaches, Jingyi investigates how soft materials and domestic objects carry power and record bodily knowledge, framing making as a non-verbal form of writing. Her work has been exhibited internationally at Galerie Marzee (Netherlands), Galerie Joseph (France), Norito Gallery (London), and Hub/Art Barcelona (Spain). She was selected for the 13th International Fibre Art Biennale and will present a solo exhibition at Absent Gallery.
