Invest in Sarabande's makers this London Craft Week
What better way to celebrate London Craft Week than by taking home a piece from one of House of Bandit's artisans. From brightly coloured hand-woven stools, one-off leather jewellery to conversation-starter candles, House of Bandits presents a unique selection of contemporary craft.
KUNIKO MAEDA
Kuniko’s jewellery practice is rooted in material processes with a particular focus on sustainability. She handcrafts every piece in her Feather Collection, using biodegradable materials like leather to create organic and meticulous details that evoke natural forms.
SHAN HUA
Scented Candle with Soya and Bee's wax. Fragrance notes of white orris butter, cedar, tree moss, vanilla and musk. Designed in London and crafted from natural materials, the wax blend ensures for a clean and eco-friendly burn.
JO MILLER
Specialising in custom headwear, this playful flat graphic hair clip headband was a collaboration between Jo and jeweller Charlotte Garnett whilst in residence at Sarabande.
CHARLOTTE GARNETT
A contemporary twist on the traditional design, the Bombe rings inclusion of a gemstone creates a natural focus point for tactile play. Its tactile pattern draws up across metal and stone alike, emulating the earth’s exhaling patterns carved through the icebergs. A soothing statement piece to remind every chunky ring lover to breathe through it.
MARTINA SPETLOVA
From Martina's collection, Weight of Waste, which investigates the environmental toll of the design industry. Each piece is hand-cut and hand-woven, using Martina's distinct geometric patterns, transforming discarded materials into contemporary design.
JO GROGAN
Jo's work is a celebration of craftsmanship and nature. She creates unique pieces by moving traditional boundaries and exploring contemporary interpretations of historical themes. Trained as a fashion designer and woodcarver, she employs traditional techniques towards the design, application, and finish of every piece.
Working directly across multiple materials from the drawing, modelling, and carving stages, each piece is painstakingly created, manipulated, and sculpted by hand.
