House of Bandits Favourites with Tim Blanks

Fashion critic and editor-at-large of The Business of Fashion, Tim Blanks joined us in-store at our Selfridges pop-up to share some of his favourite pieces with us. From black and white photography to exclusive Sarabande Craig Green jumpers, Tim Blanks has exquisite taste.
The first standout piece to Tim Blanks was, Françoise Odill's Contortions Triptych. Françoise is an artist and contortionist investigating the subject of body manipulation. The human form, modes of bodily self-expression, the notions of body augmentation and abstraction, and the body’s relationship to its environment are always at the centre of her interest.
"There's something about those images that appeal. The sort of vintage quality of them
that appeals to me."
Craig Green, a distinguished Sarabande alumnus celebrated for his innovative and sculptural approach to design, has generously donated his fabulous sweater to support Sarabande. Known for pushing boundaries in fashion with a unique blend of form and function, Craig’s work continues to inspire a new generation of creatives. Now available at an accessible price, this piece offers a rare chance to own a symbol of his style while supporting the Sarabande community.
"Craig Green is my spirit animal. This is an exclusive item by Craig for the House of bandits. I’d wear that. Get them while they're hot."

Tim Blanks was also drawn to Izaak Brandts LV Sneaker. Izaak Brandt is a London based multidisciplinary artist. Using the ‘body’ as his starting point he explores the mediums of sculpture, film, painting and performance. Brandt’s work draws feelingly from his career as an international dancer. Breakdancing has taken Brandt all over the world and through the form he’s developed intense self discipline, energy and a love of experimentation.
"When I think about Lee McQueen, I do think about the strong fetish element that was almost like the spine of his work, this sort of kind of outré sexuality. But there was something that was quite haunting. These aren't haunting, but they're real fetish objects. These aren't haunting, but they're real fetish objects. You know, the whole thing about collecting trainers, making trainers into a totally practical, practical but very collectible object."
From Izaak Brandt's trainers, Francoise's triptych and Craig Green's Sarabande exclusive jumper, Tim Blanks had a wide vary of favourites. Make sure to pop in-store to check out Craig Green's jumper!
