Donal Sturt

Donal Sturt is a self taught artist - having studied graphic design at university. You can see the influence of his education in his works, which are made using programmes like Photoshop or Illustrator to first create digital artworks, which he then translates into physical pieces using acrylic, gesso, spray paint and lacquer. During his residency at the Foundation Donal held an exhibition entitled Now By Me, a show of re-interpretations of some of the worlds most iconic artworks. Among the artists reproduced were Damien Hirst, Pablo Picasso and Jean-Michel Basquiat.
