Ketel One Vodka and Sarabande Partnership

Ketel One Vodka is a founding partner of the Sarabande Foundation. The partnership is born from a shared passion and dedication for true craftsmanship and fearless creativity which brings Ketel One Vodka and Sarabande together to support the burgeoning talent of tomorrow.

For 325 years the Nolet family, who created Ketel One Vodka, have had a self-belief in the power of creativity and the ability to make ideas a reality. These values have been at the heart of the family’s journey for 11 generations, from the Royal Nolet Distillery in Schiedam to the rest of the world. Through its partnership with Sarabande, Ketel One Vodka hopes to share this same sense of infinite possibility, and will collaborate on a variety of activities and events designed to support creativity. Their first joint venture is the creation of a bespoke bar and artistic installation designed by contemporary Dutch artist and designer, Tord Boontje.  As part of his design process, Tord took inspiration from the Dutch style and design cues of Ketel One Vodka, and the unique elements and influences of McQueen’s creations. The artistic bar represents the partnership and is designed to be a permanent feature at the Sarabande Studios in Haggerston, providing a stunning backdrop for Sarabande and Ketel One events.

Swarovski in Fashion

Swarovski’s history in fashion began in 1895, when Daniel Swarovski invented a machine for cutting and polishing crystal; a ground-breaking device that would transform the world of fashion. Over the following decades, Swarovski crystals became an essential ingredient in the ateliers of Paris as Daniel and his sons worked closely with couturiers such as Worth, Chanel, Schiaparelli, Balenciaga and Dior. Today, Swarovski crystals are a key creative component for fashion houses including Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Lanvin and Versace, who use crystal to embellish their seasonal collections. In 1999, Swarovski re-established its relationship with fashion talent when it launched the Swarovski Collective, inspired by a collaboration with a young Alexander McQueen. The Swarovski Collective encourages emerging design talent to push the boundaries of creativity with crystal, and has offered financial support – and over 100 million crystals – to more than 150 designers in New York, London, Milan and Paris.
