Tom adopts and subverts traditional drawing techniques using graphite and charcoal to create tonal contrasts that reveal the intricate details of his uncanny figures. ‘Boy’ depicts a solitary figure in a void-like space holding a flower stem from their mouth, creating a visual tactility with his bold tonal variations.
