Kirico Ueda is a multidisciplinary artist, having completed a BA in Fashion Communication and Promotion at Central Saint Martins in 2019.
Fascinated by it’s magical and primitive power that goes beyond cultural identities, she often refers to motifs and stories from folktales, myths and theatres in her practice. Kirico deconstructs and reassembles motifs and stories from all times and places to create a narrative, using mediums spanning from photography, puppetry, sculpture to printmaking. Her works have been shown in her solo exhibition ‘Participation Mystique’ in Tokyo in 2020, and several group exhibitions in London, Tokyo and Kyoto. Kirico currently lives and works in London.
