Everything you need to know before you get rolling. You’ve got your idea, but how do you get it onto the screen? It doesn’t matter if you’re embarking on your first feature or short or if you’re a filmmaking veteran, the importance of production development should never be underestimated. How do you budget? Where do you go to to finance your film? What team and equipment do you need?

We had the privilege to listen to a talk by the industry experts, Olivier Kaempfer, BAFTA-nominated producer and Founder of Parkville Pictures, Amy Jackson, Producer and Former Head of Production at See Saw films, and Fiona Lamptey, Producer & Founder of Fruit Tree Media. Between them they’ve worked with the likes of Film4, BBC Films, BFI and Steve McQueen and on award-winning features starring the likes of Sasha Lane, Michael Fassbender, Nicole Kidman and Jude Law to name just a few. They came in to let us in on how they did it, and how we, as filmmakers can do it too.
