Introducing: ROBERTS | WOOD

Roberts | Wood is the brainchild of designer Katie Roberts-Wood, who graduated from the RCA in 2014 with both the international talent support ‘Collection of the Year Award’ and the ‘Vogue Talents Award’. Katie focuses on an exploration of textiles, constructions and shapes, creating collections using specially invented techniques to create garments with a “determined femininity juxtaposed by dreamlike and curious sensibilities”. After releasing their first collection entitled ‘Digitalis’ at London Fashion Week in 2015, Roberts | Wood was immediately stocked at Dover Street Market in London, New York and Tokyo.

Introducing: Harriet Horton

Horton is an artist specialising in the application of neon-lighting to ethical taxidermy, ranging from small UK wildlife, to larger birds and fish. The largely self-taught practitioner lends the ancient art a surreal and contemporary pop twist. Her approach to taxidermy is to always explore animals in a foreign environment from their original habitat, stirring their positions into softer, sculptural pieces. The use of dyes and lighting allow a playful narrative to a medium that sometimes holds a macabre association. Horton is currently working on an exhibition for 2018, alongside a group LGBTQ+ show, that’ll introduce new practices including sculpture and painting.
