EASY TARGETS: Drawing Workshop with Lucy Jagger
EASY TARGETS
DRAWING WORKSHOP WITH LUCY JAGGER
9 NOVEMBER
19:00 - 20:30
Doors open at 18:30 and event starts at 19:00 on the dot!
“County Lines” is a term used to describe the transportation of drugs from one area to another, usually by children or vulnerable people who are coerced into it by gangs. The 'County Line' is the mobile phone line used to take the orders of drugs.
This subject is of immense interest to Lucy Jagger. It is where inequality of opportunity, addiction, parenting, the fierceness of human nature, death, the desire to survive, and luck all collide.
The boxing club is a meeting point and potential escape route for many - you can fight your way out. It exists as a space of silent contestation - using it as a way of moving beyond the county lines and into a new circle.
In 'EASY TARGETS', attendees will join in a workshop that not only challenges them artistically but invites you to consider the margins of society. Performance, sportsmanship and fast-paced boxing movements - this workshop will whip your art skills into shape through quick life drawings while you wrestle to catch details.
