Seeking to re-evaluate how Fashion is read and understood in a contemporary setting, Stephanie’s practice explores the intertextuality between historical and contemporary bodies. Rooted in craft and discipline, their intuitive approach to design enriched by its deconstructivist literacy, proposes a unique blend of philosophy, linguistics and personal rumination.

Stephanie applies deconstructivism as a research mechanism to destabilise and interrogate meaning. On exploring ethical concerns for the body in the system of Fashion production, their nuanced and considered tailoring has been loosely described as sartorial post-deconstructivism.
