Paolo Carzana Dresses FKA twigs for Her First Grammy Win

At the 68th Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, FKA twigs wore a custom, handmade look by Paolo Carzana as she won her first Grammy.

Nominated for Best Dance/Electronic Album, the artist wore a one-of-a-kind artisanal dress crafted from peace silk chiffon and hand-dyed using natural dyes, including madder enhanced with copper, a traditional metal mordant. This process produced a nuanced, earthy palette, with subtle variations that emerged naturally through the dyeing process.

Paolo collaborated with Slim Barrett on the jewellery for the look. Slim created a delicate vine of narcissus flowers, inspired by a dried narcissus that Paolo had personally preserved. The narcissus is a recurring motif for the brand and first appeared in the Paolo Carzana SS25 collection, which explored the myth of Narcissus.

Twigs has long been a supporter of Carzana’s work, wearing an ethereal white creation by the designer for British Vogue’s Forces For Change dinner in 2022. More recently, at the 2025 Fashion Awards, she opted for a sheer beige dress by the designer, paired with towering platform heels. Twigs is far from Carzana’s only A-list fan, names like Zendaya and Michaela Coel have also worn his designs on the red carpet.

We’re incredibly proud to see Paolo’s work celebrated at such a landmark moment in his career, and to watch a Sarabande alumnus dress an artist whose own practice is equally rooted in experimentation and self-expression.

Congratulations, Paolo.
