'Drunk Minds Speak Of Sober Times' by Koby Martin

'Drunk Minds Speak Of Sober Times' by Koby Martin

Discover Koby Martin’s latest exhibition, 'Drunk Minds Speak Of Sober Times', running from July 25th to July 29th. Hosted at Sarabande Foundation, this exhibition offers an intimate look into the life of an artist who uses his craft to explore personal themes of family, migration, memory, and emotions.

Koby Martin’s work is a heartfelt autobiographical journey, shaped by his Ghanaian roots and enriched by his experiences in the Western art world. His pieces transform liminal spaces, using windows as metaphors to navigate the delicate boundaries between public and private, known and unknown. This exhibition invites you to step into these spaces, embrace your own voyeuristic tendencies, and perhaps uncover a bit of yourself in the process.

Throughout his illustrious career, Koby has created impactful content for global artists such as Krept & Konan, Wizkid, J Hus, Wretch 32, Chronixx, and Tinie Tempah. His collaborations extend to major brands like Nike, Adidas, Universal Music, 0207/DefJam, Bacardi, House Of Marley, Native Magazine, Virgin Records, and Mercedes Benz, showcasing his versatile talent.

In 2023, after a successful group exhibition in Los Angeles with Goodmother gallery, Koby was invited by Gagosian’s Associate Director, Peju Oshin, to showcase his work at the prestigious ING Discerning Eye exhibition at the Mall Gallery.

Don't miss your chance to delve into this captivating exhibition, where each artwork serves as a poignant reflection on life's complexities and the intersection of personal and universal experiences.
