WEEKDAYS : 10:00 - 18:00

Sarabande presents American artist Shaina Craft’s debut London solo exhibition Soliloquies, a collection of recent oil paintings and charcoal drawings rejecting the tradition of the idealized female nude that persists in contemporary figurative painting.
Created from a single model, these works explore the relationship between the grotesque and the sublime, the inner and outer world, and offer an honest, undecorated vision of the body.
Craft’s subject remains unaffected by the viewer's attention; she is turned away or averts her gaze. Soliloquies reveals Craft’s visual language: an obsession with the details of form and an exaggerated color palette that accentuates the textures and transparency of skin.
Visitors will be provided with hand sanitisers and masks upon entry.
