Reflecting on Robert Wun's incredible journey into Fashion and how it all began...

Last night we had the pleasure of inviting designer Robert Wun and journalist Pierre A. M’Pelé (aka Pam Boy) onto the Sarabande stage for a very memorable INSPIRED talk.

Robert shared his incredible journey into fashion, with Pierre guiding the conversation as they explored everything from his childhood to his latest couture show in Hong Kong.

With the support of Bruno Pavlovsky from Chanel, Robert made his Paris debut in January 2024, becoming the first designer from Hong Kong to join the Haute Couture Calendar—a remarkable achievement. He reflected on what that moment meant to him after nearly a decade of building his own label and how it all came together under the watchful eye of The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode.

One of the most moving moments of the talk was when Robert described how his designs are deeply connected to his memories and the people who influenced him, particularly his grandmother. For him, fashion isn’t just about clothing; it’s about celebrating visibility and freedom through organic, natural forms. He has a remarkable talent for blending beauty with emotion, and it was inspiring to hear him express that.

Stay tuned, we will share a short snippet of the talk shortly!
