Building McQueen | Talks
October 2016
An exclusive panel discussion exploring architecture and Lee Alexander McQueen. Sarabande Founding Trustee Trino Verkade and the former editor of Icon Magazine David Michon spoke with Pentagram partner William Russell who designed five of the Alexander McQueen flagships stores including Milan, New York and London. Russell also designed the interiors of the listed building on Regent’s Canal in East London, where Sarabande Studios and HQ are held.
The discussion explored how the theatricality of McQueen’s designs was translated into the architecture of his stores, and how the simplicity of Sarabande HQ fosters the fearless creativity that it was founded to support.
Supported by our founding partner Ketel One Vodka.
