Carson Lovett

Carson Lovett is a visionary designer who blends various aesthetics from different time periods in combination with bohemianism and street culture to create captivating collections. His work is a whimsical journey through time, reimagining the past but with an innovative twist.

Carson's approach to fashion is a delightful fusion of the strange and the fruity, inviting us into a world where tradition and glamour meet rebellion. Embracing traditional techniques, he plays with synthetic colours and decade-specific silhouettes, crafting garments that challenge the conventional.

Carson has a degree from Central Saint Martins in Fashion Design, in the Womenswear pathway. For Carson’s graduate collection, supported by Sarabande, we were taken on a fantastical journey through time as he drew inspiration from Pre-Raphaelite art, Meissen porcelain, and the delicate beauty of Victorian Sugar Shade lamps, reimagining pieces from the past with an extra dose of synthetic colour. With each collection Carson invites us into a world where the past is re-imagined. Whether referencing historical periods like the Baroque period or the vintage thrift movement or taking influences from the 'weird girl' aesthetic, Lovett's designs are the perfect blend of humour, history and innovative fashion.
