Torishéju Dumi presents Spring/Summer 26 at Paris Fashion Week

Torishéju Dumi presented her Spring/Summer 2026 collection at Paris Fashion Week, reinforcing her position as one of the most distinctive and powerful voices in contemporary fashion.

Her work is deeply personal. Growing up in London within a Nigerian-Brazilian family, Torishéju was surrounded by her mother’s passion for 19th-century décor and art. This, combined with her Catholic upbringing, continues to shape the themes that run through her collections: spirituality, devotion, ancestry, and storytelling. These threads ground her bold experimentation, creating clothes that feel both intimate and monumental.

For SS26, Torishéju leaned into a darker, more introspective exploration. A palette of obsidian, chocolate, slate grey, and stark white was electrified by flashes of crimson. The collection balanced structure with sensuality: sharply cinched blazers paired with fluid skirts and dresses, straight-leg jeans offset with bomber jackets, and oversized, dramatic newsboy hats. Signature circular cut-outs punctuated garments with a tension between concealment and revelation, echoing her ongoing exploration of faith, ritual, and vulnerability.

Torishéju’s impact is already reaching far beyond the runway. She has been celebrated with major industry recognition, including the Savoir-Faire Prize at the LVMH Prize, awarded for her exceptional craftsmanship and vision. Her contribution to culture and design has also been formally acknowledged with an honorary doctorate from Central Saint Martins. Her work has appeared on red carpets, worn by global cultural figures, and has entered museum collections, cementing her reputation as a designer whose imagination resonates across fashion, art, and culture.

Currently in residence at Sarabande’s High Road studios, Torishéju first joined the Sarabande family through the Central Saint Martins Scholarship programme, where she was selected by Sølve Sundsbø. Her journey continues to be defined by ambition, artistry, and a profound sense of storytelling—qualities that shine throughout her SS26 presentation.
