We’re absolutely thrilled to announce that Sarabande designers Sinéad O’Dwyer, Michaela Stark, and Yoav Hadari are featured in the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s prestigious 2026 Costume Institute exhibition, Costume Art. Seeing our residents and alumni showcased alongside centuries of culture and artistic history is a proud moment for the entire Sarabande community, their fearless dedication to craft and design is exactly what makes their work so powerful.

Curated by Sarabande ambassador Andrew Bolton OBE, Curator in Charge of The Costume Institute, Costume Art delves deep into the relationship between fashion, art, and the physical form.

By pairing intricate garments from the institute’s archives with paintings, sculptures, and works of art spanning over 5,000 years, the exhibition is organized around thematic “body types.” It challenges and explores how we perceive the human figure, moving through themes including: The Naked Body The Classical Body The Pregnant Body The Aging Body and The Anatomical Body.

Yoav’s “Corpus Nervina 0.0” dress was first presented at Sarabande for their AW23 show, “Quilaterally”, whilst in residence at our Haggerston studios, with textiles in collaboration with fellow Sarabande resident Anouska Samms.
